Seated in scenic plains of southwest Oklahoma with ancient mountains on the Western horizon, the Town of Central High offers the charm of small-town living with the strong spirit of community that defines rural America. Established with deep agricultural roots and a proud heritage, Central High is a place where neighbors know each other by name and families thrive across generations.

Our town is located in Stephens County and serves as a central hub for residents who appreciate peaceful country living while still enjoying access to nearby cities like Duncan and Lawton. The community grew around Central High School which was the result of a series of school consolidations in 1921. The community took the step to incorporate as a town in 1995 so that the community could apply for municipal grants and to preclude annexation by nearby cities. Central High is home to a close-knit population, supported by strong values, a dedicated public school system, and local churches that form the heart of the community.

Whether you’re looking to settle down in a quiet, family-friendly environment or simply want to learn more about our way of life, Central High welcomes you with open arms. Central High is a proud example of Oklahoma’s enduring spirit and hospitality.
